Safe and Modern Schools for Vacaville Students!
WHAT IS VACAVILLE MEASURE E?
Services
Faced with a growing community and the need to bring school facilities up to current standards, we invite you to learn more about an important bond measure on the upcoming 2024 ballot. The funding from this bond would build a new school to address overcrowding, continue to improve safety and security at our sites, and modernize and renovate our aging schools.
Measure E is a General obligation (G.O.) bond program. The measure will provide funding for new construction, modernization, and renovation projects at the District’s 19 school sites, most of which are old and outdated. The average age of District schools is 52 years, and Vacaville High School, one of our oldest, was first built in 1952 over 70 years ago. The new bond measure proposes an annual cost of $48/$100K of assessed property value, this measure would generate around $317million for school facilities projects.
